Anovia Resource Recovery incorporated in 2006 (re-incorporated as Anovia LLC in 2018), focuses on R&D and applications development activity with some limited but flexible production capabilities. Initially, Anovia’s emphasis was identifying value in waste and manufacturing by-product streams then designing processes to capture that value. In early 2014, we entered the biomass extraction world (i.e. cannabis/hemp, wood residuals, fungi) with all its endless opportunities and challenges. The company started informally researching cannabinoid utility and extract characteristics, which led to development of a robust proprietary phyto/fungal extraction methods that are highly effective, simple to run, economical, and safe. Today, our work is divided into four areas: medium scale processing/extraction of select biomass streams, compound isolation, consumer product formulation, and by-product applications development.

Born and raised in rural Southwest Washington State, started college at 16 then moved to Seattle, WA to pursue Chemical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering degrees at the University of Washington. Lived and worked overseas in an international business development role, spending 8 years in the pan-pacific region then another 8 years in Latin America. Living and working abroad had a substantial impact on my world view and galvanized my desire to try and make a positive contribution. Today, our work is divided into four areas: medium scale processing/extraction of premium hemp oleoresin, cannabinoid conversion, consumer product formulation, and by-product applications development. My objective is to continue growth of Anovia LLC by providing outstanding products and ingredients for therapeutic applications and health, beauty, nutrition, and renewable materials segments through innovative processing methods and creative utilization of hemp derived materials and compounds.
